Meet Trent: The Sweet Soul Behind Our Desserts

If you’ve ever ended a meal at our restaurant with a spoonful of something rich, seasonal, and just plain magical—chances are you’ve tasted the work of Trent, our dessert mastermind. Thoughtful, creative, and always pushing the flavor envelope, Trent has been part of our culinary story for almost three years, and his desserts have become a signature part of the experience we offer at The Feed Co. Table & Tavern.

Trent got his start in kitchens at just 17, learning the ropes in bustling restaurants across Atlanta, Athens, and Ringgold, Georgia. He joined us back in 2022, bringing with him not just skill and passion, but a love for the expressive, collaborative nature of the kitchen. For him, the best parts of the job are the freedom to experiment with new recipes, the daily creativity, and the chance to connect with all kinds of people—both on the line and in the dining room.

Interestingly, desserts weren’t always his focus. Trent began crafting sweets to fill a gap on our menu—and in doing so, he found a new passion. Now, his rotating creations help elevate Feed’s menu and give guests a memorable final bite. From rich chocolate tortes to light, fruit-forward finishes, Trent approaches dessert as both an art and a way to make people happy. “Food brings people together,” he says, “and that’s the best part.”

What inspires him? The people around him. From his coworkers to the guests at our tables, Trent draws energy and ideas from the world around him. He thrives on the challenge of his role and brings a grounded joy to every dish he makes. Outside the kitchen, Trent likes to slow things down—he enjoys fishing, reading, and spending time with his cat. And just recently, he celebrated another sweet moment: he got married!
